The second thing you should know is that Earl selected "Island CREST Financial" as the corporate name because he has heard SO MANY CEO's say that their position in the company is a very lonely place to be - like being on an island. The crest, or top of the island, is the metaphorical place where he would like CEO's to ascend with their company. This objective is the mission and vision of Island CREST Financial.

Earl’s career included roles as a senior business leader, finance executive and owner with small to mid-sized companies in the manufacturing, distribution, retail and financial services sectors. These companies collectively increased their enterprise value over $230M by repetitively increasing annual revenue and profitability while simultaneously reducing business risk.

Earl truly believes in the power of sharing knowledge and is committed to regularly maintaining a blog for CEOs, owners, and other business leaders to help them think through and execute on the process of building a more valuable company.

Earl’s personal passion is youth sports – and has coached 27 teams since 2002. In the world of non-profit board service, Earl is the immediate past Board Chair of Leadership Eastside and is a past member of the Mercer Island Boys & Girls Club advisory board.

Earl graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seattle University’s Albers School of Business. Earl grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, where he maintains an inactive CPA license.
